Thinking of The Key, He Confirms the Prison
Parts of a River: National Autumn Exhibitions : Balabanova House, Plovdiv, Bulgaria
2025

The work focuses on the surfaces that photography usually relies on to manifest itself. Fabrics are sewn, torn, and re-sewn; they become textured, hanging, layered one over another. In this way, both the image and its materiality come alive.
At the core lies the idea of chance as a source of powerful visual impressions-images that appear unexpectedly: in a basement, on the street, in newspapers, in museum gift shops, or on obscure internet pages. The works do not aim to be a perfect product, but rather to reveal themselves as a process of handling and transformation, akin to the way time alters forgotten objects. Ultimately, they resemble something found by accident—and it is precisely in this quality that their poignancy resides.
